When Spiderghost Pressgang commissioned this album cover, nothing had been suggested to me visually. The only thing that had been established was that this was to be an immersive effort. This meant that not only did the label intend for me to spend 18 consecutive hours in the recording studio with both the bands on the album, but my portrait was included on the back amongst the portraits of everyone else involved, every musician, the engineer and the head of the label.

Due to the intensely grueling pace of the day, which felt a little masochistic, or perhaps being locked in a dungeon, we decided to adorn the album cover with an image of a man completely decked out in bondage gear. This provocative image, paired with the grim photos on the back of the album did a good job of capturing the mood and spirit of the project.
